OUR MISSION
To change the lives of at-risk youth, juvenile and adult offenders, and low-income residents of Baltimore by providing mental health services, workforce, and economic training, job placement, financial literacy, and affordable housing opportunities.
ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
B.O.S.S. Community Empowerment & Behavioral Health is a 501(c)(3) that provides an array of community-based mental health services to children, adults, and families respectively. The service population primarily includes children of all age ranges under eighteen.
Specifically, services include supporting rehabilitation treatment services that assist the client in developing and implementing life skills that are needed to live an independent, productive life. When needed, referrals are made for somatic, psychiatric, psychopharmacology, substance abuse and other specialty services. A multidisciplinary professional staff provides quality treatment of mood disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, behavioral disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, coping disorders, and stress management. Programs and services are Inclusive of the following: college awareness, job preparation, workforce development, conflict resolution, anger management, financial literacy, counseling, and professional development.
Services are provided by Licensed Mental Health Professionals and direct care staff that processes the education and the experience to deliver customized appropriate rehabilitative treatment services that result in positive outcomes. Our focus is to promote the well-being of the individuals and families in the Baltimore City Communities by providing accessible quality educational support services, mental health for children, adolescents, adults, and their families, utilizing a service system that emphasizes trust, respect, confidentiality, and compassion.
We are committed to quality mental health care that is provided in a collaborative effort with clients’ and families overall health strategies supported with an array of life skills training. We are further committed to the philosophy that we exist for the client.

Both Ivan Forney and Harvey Chambers are passionate about servicing the citizens of the greater Baltimore-Metropolitan area. They have become visionaries knowing that today's youth and many adults are in dire need for a comprehensive and robust program to engage them in productive activities, skills training, and behavioral management. It is this passion that has led to the creation of B.O.S.S. Community Empowerment which is designed to offer a wealth of wraparound services for youth AND adults as everyone is essential to the success of our children.
